GuardianRide — Automated Two-Wheeler Crash Detection & Direct SOS Network

Problem — Over 70% of fatal two-wheeler accidents occur because emergency medical care arrives too late due to delayed crash reporting. Current solutions rely on manual bystander calls or slow, centralized government call centers that add critical human-in-the-middle delays. Who feels it— Daily motorcycle and scooter commuters, delivery drivers, touring riders, and their family members who worry about delayed emergency responses during a crash. MVP hint— An ESP32 microcontroller paired with an MPU6050 accelerometer/gyroscope and a physical impact switch (installed on a smart helmet or bike frame). When a crash is detected, the device triggers a 15-second cancel timer. If unresponsive, it uses Google Places API to find the absolute closest hospital and dispatches an automated SMS/API payload containing exact GPS coordinates and the rider's medical profile (blood type, allergies). Why now— Affordable IoT hardware (ESP32/SIM800L) and accessible location APIs now make it possible to build decentralized, low-cost safety systems for under $25, making life-saving technology accessible to everyday two-wheeler riders. Revenue— Hardware sales (smart helmet/bike module), freemium mobile app subscriptions for real-time family tracking, and B2B API licensing to fleet operators or insurance companies offering safety discounts.
